BSPlayer for Android (Review)

This is my favourite video player and I use free version. The free version does

everything for me. BSPlayer for Android is famous for its Graphics Hardware



Acceleration or GPU Acceleration. This was the first App to use this feature.


I have made a video of this app running on my Xperia Mini Pro, See

at the end of post. This App even Hardware Accelerated video on small devices like

xperia mini pro.


There are certain requirements for using Hardware Acceleration on BSPlayer for Android:

* Device must have an ARM v7 processor.

(Only MPEG-4 and DivX videos will be Hardware accelerated on ARM v6 processor)

(BSPlayer will run in CPU mode on ARM v6 processor device)

* Adreno 205 + GPU will be able to Hardware Accelerate all the video formats.(Proved)

(Adreno 200 will not be able to Hardware Accelerate h264 videos, Anyway Adreno 200

can Hardware Accelerate MPEG-4 and DivX videos.)

It supports LAN playback, It means your device will be able to play videos

from other devices via WiFi (DLNA)

This app supports 3D thumbnails.

This player can play all video formats. On Adreno 205 + GPU, It can play 720p videos.
