[How to] Prevent Phone from sleeping while WiFi Tethering

Almost every Android Phone is facing issue of Deep Sleep while WiFi Tethering

Internet to other devices.

Deep sleep is actually for saving battery but sometimes it starts to act as a bug.



Information about this bug:

Your phone is happily tethering it's internet to other devices.

But as soon as your phone's screen turns off.

The WiFi remains connected with other devices but Internet stops. The reason is your processor

goes to deep sleep and thus it's impossible for WiFi to tether internet.

Tutorial to fix this:

When you put your android phone on charging, The processor does not goes to

sleep mode.

** A very simple fix for this problem is put your phone on charging when you are WiFi Tethering

Internet.

You must root your phone first for using this app.

Download this WiFi Tether for Root Users from Play Store.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.googlecode.android.wifi.tether&hl=en

This app will solve your problem permanently.


Note:
There are many WiFi Tether apps on market without root but those apps don't seem to
fix the problem.

  2. That app does work. I use wifi tethering everytime but it used to stop in between while screen gets off but its okay now.
